A brain freeze is only just a mini migraine. The cold makes the blood vessel in your brain contract cause the pain. Hold your tongue on the roof of your mouth to smoothness the pain. It help warm the vessel faster.

well it may not give the impression of being like it but your brain isn't that far away from the top of your mouth so the cold can run through or when you eat like mad of cold stuff it can freeze the nerves going up to your brain thus brain freeze. if you get it lay your tongue on the top of your mouth it go away quicker
